According to last month’s Housing Trends Reports, the San Antonio metro area housing market saw an increase in almost every category. The average home price saw a 16% increase to $361,889 according to SABOR, while Median prices increased by 20% to $314,000. Even with the increase, the area saw a 9% increase in total closed sales with a total of 2,681 homes sold.
The price per square foot increased to $176, a 20% increase from last year.
SABOR’s Chairman of the Board, Tracie Hasslocher, said, “2022 is showing a steady pace as we enter the last month of the first quarter with homes on the market for 38 days and 100 percent being sold for listing price. We saw a steady increase in median, average price, and pending sales for the month of February.”
Overall, Bexar County reported an increase in the average price by 14.1% to $333,258, and the median price increased by 16% to $290,000. A total of 1,853 homes were sold in the month of February with 99.7% sold for list price.
