The Homefront United Network was founded by Angela Caban in 2010. Being an Army National Guard wife and not living on or near a military installation, Angela found herself with no resources or support from other military families. She also noticed that there was a large separation between the active duty and National Guard/Reserve communities. The resources that were around were discouraging, and not supportive of all branches or statuses.

Wanting to ensure that other families would never feel this discouragement, she started writing about her experiences for various online publications. Shortly after writing for spouses and families, Angela still felt as if something were missing. She started a Facebook page where other spouses could get together and share stories, advice or just vent, and a year later the Homefront United Network was launched. With the help of many HUN team members, we have been able to reach out to other spouses and families who are in need of support, but most importantly, bridge the gap between the active duty and guard/reserve communities.

The Homefront United Network provides content and real-life stories for all military spouses and family members. This is a place for you to gain resources, support others and celebrate our lives as military spouses, family and friends. We are all on different walks of life, but we all have something to share. Our real-life stories are shared in hopes of connecting you with others and providing guidance as a community.
