he real estate market shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, according to the latest San Antonio Board of Realtors market report.
Although the January sales report showed a 1% decrease in total sales from January 2021 – with a total of 2,521 homes sold – homes were staying on the market for an average of 12 days less than this time last year.
Average home sales price increased by 17% to $351,226, while the median price appreciated by 18% to $304,700. The average home stayed on the market for just 35 days.
SABOR’s Chairman of the Board, Tracie Hasslocher, said, “2022 is starting with a bang with 99.5 percent of homes closing at list price.”
Comparatively, the state of Texas saw a 3.8% increase in homes sold, an 18.9% increase in median price, and a 16.9% increase in average price.
