The Homefront United Network was founded by Angela Caban, due to her experiences while her husband deployed in 2008. Being an Army National Guard wife and not living on post, Angela found herself with no resources, support or advice from other military families. The resources she did find, were discouraging and negative. She was pretty much on her own and was in need of positive and encouraging support and guidance.
Wanting to ensure that this would never happen to any military spouse or family member, she started writing a military column for the Examiner and Veteran Journal. Shortly after writing for spouses and families, Angela still felt as if something were missing. She started a Facebook fan page where other spouses could get together and share stories, advice or just vent, and a year later the Homefront United Network was launched. With the help of many HUN team members, we have been able to reach out to other spouses and families who are in need of support.
The Homefront United Network is here to provide all military spouses and family members a comfortable and positive environment. This is a place for you to gain resources, vent, support others and celebrate our lives as military spouses, family and friends.
Our lives are more than just deployments; we are also about family, friends, support, love and understanding.
A dream and vision has always been to provide constant support to our military and families, so the Homefront United Network was created just for that. We hope that you find the support and encouragement that you need here at the Homefront United Network.
