If you have followed me here on the HUN, and over on my professional site Angela Caban, then you know I am all about encouraging one another. Throughout this life, we have such an amazing opportunity to create ways to be positive and encouraging of one another. Especially for us in the military community, we all have various projects and aspirations we follow.
Books like these, make it all possible to accomplish what we want. We need that boost!
I recently finished reading Robert Kiyosaki’s book, 8 Lessons in Military Leadership for Entrepreneurs.

Because I have spent such a large portion of my adult life thinking how I could turn my business skills into a business, I know the struggle and what it is like to compete with others. It is all about a balance, one that can sometimes be difficult to find.
Once you find that balance and are able to be your own boss, you as a an entrepreneur, will be able to decide how much you want to work, what you want to make and see the results of all your hard work in the end. And no, it isn’t too good to be true, it is possible.
In this book, author Robert Kiyosaki discusses the main reasons as to why so many people fail in their work, jobs and educational pursuits. Here comes one of my most favorite concepts, taking the things you are taught in the military and using it in the world we live in today.
Okay so, my husband is military and I am not, but the book is still VERY helpful in determining what leadership lessons you must focus on. These lessons are:
LEADERS AND ROLE MODELS
ARE YOU A LONER OR A LEADER
DISCIPLINE DELIVERS A HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE
THE POWER OF RESPECT
THE NEED FOR SPEED
UNITE TO WIN & DIVIDE TO CONQUER
LEADERS ARE TEACHERS
LEADERSHIP IS ONE BIG SALES JOB
So even though I have a successful consulting business, will I take anything away from this? OF COURSE?! I am no where near to where I want to be, and having the motivation and encouragement to do so, surely does help.
