MyCareerWorks is announcing the MyCAA Scholarship Awareness Campaign which features an Apple iPad Air & Amazon Fire Giveaway for Military Spouses!
This is to promote the MyCAA Spouse Scholarship and to counter the misconceptions of the program. A recent analysis conducted by the Rand Corporation indicates that the scholarship program still seems to be underused. It was determined that a few factors were in play such as lack of awareness, and that eligible spouses thought the cost of an education and child care during training was too expensive and that the training was too time consuming.
Each entry will receive a free online career prep course which was developed exclusively for Military Spouses by an executive coach military spouse. This course is included in all the business certificate programs offered by MyCareerWorks.
The goal of the MyCAA Scholarship Awareness Campaign is to show military spouses that the sign up process for the MyCAA program is easier than they think and also the short training involved to start earning a second income.
While there are many MyCAA training options available, Business and IT Certificate programs are the quickest way to a career path, and the most in-demand, since they can be completed in about six months. Project management, bookkeeping, legal studies, human resources, and PC technician are the most in-demand career fields today along with any program that includes Microsoft Certification, QuickBooks, CompTIA and Microsoft Windows 7 type certification training.
Currently the MyCAA scholarship provides eligible military spouses up to $4,000 in tuition assistance to use at any academic institution approved for participation in the MyCAA Scholarship. The program is available to spouses of active duty service members in pay grades E-1 to E-5, W-1 to W-2 and O-1 to O-2 and which can start and complete their coursework while their military sponsor is on Title 10 military orders, including spouses married to members of the National Guard and reserve component in these same pay grades.
